At the bend of a stroll in old Menton, this old shop with its picturesque facade, its cleverly ordered bric-a-brac interior, is truly charming. The place has existed since 1896. Karim, who runs it enthusiastically, has revitalized it with his two brothers Amar and Ahcene. Alongside traditional cold-pressed olive oil, they offer a nice selection of vinegars, argan oil and aromatic salts.
Their latest creation? An olive oil with ginger and lemon from Menton developed with the help of friend Mauro Colagreco, star chef at Mirazur, which combines the acidity of lemon, the intensity of fresh ginger and the bitterness of curd-type olives. This miracle of subtlety brings out vegetables, fish and meats with finesse. Also, a Menton lemon milk jam which is a pure delicacy. The welcome from Sylvie, Karim's wife, is a smile itself.
